Here at Epsilon Xi, we have many social events throughout the year, ranging from mixers, date parties, mom's weekend, dad's weekend, semi-formal, and formal.
Our mixers with fraternities have had a wide variety of themes, such as a game night and a Super Bowl mixer with ATO and a Casino Night with Sigma Chi.
This year, we have had two different date parties! Soon after bid day, we had a Holidate Party where everyone got to dress up as different holidays. This spring, we had a neon themed date dash. This meant that we found out about our date party at 7pm and we only had until 8pm to find a date and arrive at the date party. The date dash was a first for us, and we had SO much fun!
Every year we set aside one weekend in the fall to celebrate our dads and one weekend in the spring to celebrate our moms. This past fall, our dad's weekend consisted of a donut breakfast, a cornhole tournament, a tailgate, and cheering on the football team. Our mom's weekend is coming up and we are so excited! We will be having a light brunch, a paint pouring and calligraphy class, and a chocolate fondue movie night.
Our semi-formal in the fall of 2018 was a blast. We had so much fun dancing the night away with our sisters and our dates. Our most recent formal was a 007 theme held at Barber Motorsports Museum. The night was filled with laughter, dancing, and admiring the vintage cars.
