Letter From the President
Welcome to the Epsilon Xi Chapter Of Delta Delta Delta! Thank you for visiting our website and taking the time to see a quick glance of what sisterhood means to us at Samford Tri Delta. My name is Mary Grace Milligan and I have the honor of serving as the 2022-2023 Collegiate Chapter President of the Epsilon Xi Chapter. I am a Senior at Samford University studying Psychology, Neuroscience, and Communication Studies.
Our chapter is composed of women who value philanthropy, one another, and the purpose of Delta Delta Delta. We are committed to becoming the best versions of ourselves through leadership, experiences, and lifelong learning. Together, we have the best time celebrating sisterhood and encouraging each other to be brave, bold, and kind!
Epsilon Xi supports two philanthropies: nationally, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and local to the Birmingham, Alabama area, Smile-A-Mile, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide hope for the childhood cancer journey. Tri Delta’s partnership with St. Jude began in 1999, and since, collegians have raised more than $84 million. Our chapter hosts several annual philanthropy events to raise funds and awareness for our philanthropies including but not limited to Delta House of Pancakes (an unlimited pancake bar for all of campus), Sincerely Yours (a letter writing campaign), and Sundaes for SAM (an ice cream sundae social). Tri Delta is St. Jude’s top donor, and we are so proud to play a part in that. While our partnership with Smile-A-Mile is new, I cannot wait to see the opportunities we will have to make an impact on our community, all while learning more about SAM and the essential hope that they provide for children and their families. One of the most special things I have witnessed is seeing our sisters come together and encourage others to support such meaningful and wonderful causes.
This chapter has provided a home for me and I am forever indebted to the women who make up this chapter. The women of Tri Delta have not only provided that for me, but also have shown me how and pushed me to be a better leader, friend, and sister. It truly is one of my greatest honors to serve this chapter and to pour a little bit back into the women who have made me who I am today.
Delta Love and Mine,
Mary Grace Milligan
